You are looking at original photographs of Sir Malcolm Campbell's bluebird race car.
Years ago I was fortunate enough to purchase these photographs which were taken by
a woman photographer named Edith Coventry here in Florida. These were sold with her personal collection of photos. She was an avid sportsmen and loved to photograph racing, hunting, fishing etc.. To the best of my knowledge these photographs have not been seen before - anywhere.
The top one measures 5 ½ by 7 inches. There is a bend in the lower right corner and a small spot on the upper left corner. The other 3 photographs are snap shot size, each measuring 2 ½ by 3 ½ inches. The bottom photo of the 3 snapshots has surface spotting.
She had written on the back of the photographs - On top photo: Campbell's Car, on 2nd
photo: Campbells speed car, on 3rd photo, Campbell's speed car, and on the 4th photo, Daytona Beach - getting ready for the trail. I would personally consider these historical racing photographs to be quite rare. These images are being sold as a group.
