The Chicago Fire Department through the Bureau of Fire Prevention -
School of Instruction for Watchmen. This certificate is dated: 10th day of August, 1936.
Signed by: Mayor - Edward J. Kelly
This Fire Dog Mascot photo came with this certificate. Both were carefully keep in a drawer, so they are nice and clean and in Excellent Condition with the certificate having a center fold mark. The certificate measures 8 3/8ths by 10 7/8ths inches - the old photograph of the fire dog measures 4 7/8ths by 4 inches. The dog looks like a real trooper, with such an alert look in his eyes. He is wearing a harness with what looks to be a hat emblem or patch from the A 5 fire house or fire engine aroud his neck.
A very nice paper collectible of Chicago history.
$40.00 US postpaid for both items
